 Nancy
was born in Missouri and raised in
California. Mark was born in
California and raised in Missouri.
Both of us have earned our master's
degrees and Mark is working on a
second master's degree from Liberty
University. We have spent the last
15 years in Nevada as church
planters. We now believe that the
Lord is leading us to Minnesota in
order to start another church. Our
hope is to find partners like you
that will help us establish this
work. Just as it takes years to see
a juvenile eagle develop its
coloring (see below) it will take
years to see Eagles Nest Baptist
Church fully developed. We hope that
you will prayerfully consider
joining us in this new opportunity
and adventure. We need you and
pledge to you our commitment to
establish a nesting and nurturing
community of committed Christians
that will touch Breezy Point and
beyond!
Juvenile
Eagle
Perched on Nest
Many new bird watchers mistake
juvenile bald eagles for other
species. Juveniles start with a very
dark body (including head, tail,
beak and eyes) and variable white
mottling on their armpits, wing
lining and sometimes undertail. They
don't get their well-known adult
coloring until they are four or five
years old. Bald eagles are sometimes
thought to actually be bald. This is
not true; their head, neck and tail
are covered by white feathers. The
word bald is derived from balde, an
old English word that means white.
Ryan & Mary Clair - Worship Leaders
Ryan was born and raised in the
beautiful mountains of Southern
California, where he met his Bride
Mary in Febuary 2002. They have been
married over 5 years and have two
children Oliver (age 2) and Ava (age
4). Mary was born and raised in
Minnesota and often talked about
wanting to move back. After many
sleepless nights and lots of prayer,
the Clair family made the move to
Breezy Point MN in July 2007.
Deciding to move to Minnesota was
not only to have a fantastic place
to raise a family, but they also
felt the Lord was calling them there
for a purpose. A purpose of using
the gifts the Lord has given Ryan
and Mary to help people come to know
Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Leading God's people in worship is a
powerful thing and has been a
passion of Ryan's for the last ten
years. Ryan has lead worship for
Many Churches over the years and he
brings his Passion and his
experience to Eagles Nest Baptist

Micah & Heather Toftness - Youth Leadership
Micah is
originally from the Pequot Lakes
area and Heather is from East
Bethel, MN. We are both graduates
of the Moody Bible Institute in
Chicago. We lived in Chicago, going
to school and serving in a small
neighborhood church, for a total of
eight years. Chicago was a great
place to live, however after our two
boys were born we decided it was
time to move closer to family and
out of the city. We are very
excited about the opportunity to be
part of a new church in the Breezy
Point community and are looking
